Supersimpel

The sockknittingplan for 2016: supersimple socks for DearSon (DS).

I started the year good with these. It's a free pattern, and uses increases and decreases to form 'faux' cables.

And then I got tired of 'simple'. I received this pattern by Stephanie Vanderlinden as a prize for knitting the complete Op-Art sock book. The pattern is called Blau und Braun, but I did them in Blau und Blau. I did the mosaic knitting on the leg, and simple stockinette on the foot.

OK. Terug naar de doelstelling. Simpel.
OK. Back to my resolution, knit simple socks.

But still, I want to learn new-to-me-things, so I used an extra stretchy beginning for the top of the sock, the German twisted cast-on.

This was an ideal project to take with me at the kick-off of our Leuven Stitch'nBitch meeting. From now on every Friday (except the first Friday) at Wereldcafé Leuven. Come over for a chat and inspiration!
